Well the economy is hurting everyone from the consumer to the retailer and the distributors. When will it end? Who is to say...Some say when we get a new President other when we get a new Congress. But, the point is everyone is hurting.
To me it all started when they opened Freddie May and Freddie Mac to allow mortgage loans to people who could not afford it, yes Interest rates went way down then it bit them in the bottom.
Then when gas prices started to rise (when there is no reason it should have except OPEC greed and Oil Company greed) that is when it started the snowball effect.
Now you have businesses closing and people loosing jobs, and I am afraid it will get worse because now you have the Auto Makers really hurting.
I would like to see what people have to say in this but I do not want to see any flaming or bashing politically. Because I will delete it. But what are people doing and businesses as well what are you doing to try to ride it out? Families what are you trying to do as well?
I will start...As a business we are trying to see what else we can get into that will generate more income. My lovely wife and I started a new business C and D Enterprise. We will add several sites in the next several months. One we already have CandDluggage.com (This idea all actually started 3 years ago). Back when the economy was better and when were traveling on a Cruise Ship (Carnival Holiday) we had gobs (is that a word?) of stuff we bought and I tried to pack it in my luggage and the wheels broke. It was a cheap suit case with small rollers. So the idea came into conception then and as we traveled it grew. But when the hurt came we thought let's do it now.
On the site we carry high quality luggage at an affordable price. Great luggage and rolling tote makers like TravelPro and Atlantic and we added travel accessories from Austin House.
Hope the economy gets better. I trust it will and we can share it with our children and hopefully grandchildren. Awe grandchildren, we hope to have some, someday, but that is another story.

A Handmade Historical Re-creation of the "Musso" Bowie Knife. Limited to 100 per year only! Yes the Legend is Back, in Version 2
Well just as it says, we have brought back this classic knife. Out of all the Bowies, (Historical Bowie Knives) this is the most popular.
But to ensure we did not hurt the 200 that were made and all sold out in 2004 and 2005, we have made some changes.
When we first did this knife (according to Rick Baer's suggestion) we made it so it would be a comfortable and field usable knife with an 11 1/2" blade.
Now that we are bringing back this knife in 2008, we opted to make it the exact size of the original. A enormous 14" blade.

More samples are on the way. Once we have them we will take them Hank for him to view and give his blessing or input on what needs to be changed.
I really look forward to these new items.
Right now all I can say is there are 2 maybe 3 new items to add to the Hank Reinhardt Collection and 1 new addition to the Generation 2 Historical Recreations section.
I will post here and then post the teaser pictures here and on the forums.
Also pictures and copy added to website as well.
Hope you are enjoying this blog as well. Look forward to your comments here.

In case many of you do not know, but Imperial Weapons has a booth at the Muskogee, OK Renaissance Faire at the Highland Way.
This year Mr. Hank Reinhardt will be accompanying us on the 3rd weekend. He will be in our booth giving history lectures (only twice daily), (the times will be determined at a later date).
Hank started working with us last year and we have so far come out with 2 swords for the Hank Reinhardt Collection, many more are in the works as we speak, but I can not let out the secret of what they are, not yet anyway.
But join us this year. The Faire runs all 4 weeks in May and Hank will be with us only the third weekend. Who knows if we get the OK he may demonstrate.
If you plan on coming to see us please post in the comments section.

Ranger Battle Sword
I can't wait, and I know several other people who can't wait for this puppy to get here.
For those who may have come upon this blog from a search engine, this is the revised Ranger Battle Sword.
This is one sweet sword. What we changed was this. We contoured the handle as with most original historical swords that are a hand and a half and two handed swords.
What this does is allow your hand to stay put and not slip back. The steel band is slightly raised from the handle as with originals. We opted to narrow the guard as you see from this side shot. Our previous model was wider and the handle was not contoured.
This sword is not a replica of an original sword, but as most people know Generation 2's fantasy or movie swords are done in such a way in the look that they might have been or could have been.
I look forward to seeing post here about this sword and the others you see here on this blog.

Daniel Searles Bowie Knife:
Well the new knife everyone has been waiting on came in. The Daniel Searles Bowie knife from Generation 2! The first batch of 25 came in and went straight out the door.
We have had allot of great responses (and we are not saying that just because it is our knife), folks we have said it and the response we have received says it all. This is the BEST looking Bowie Knife we have made yet!
It has been talked about quite a bit on the different forums. Just GOOGLE Daniel Searles Bowie Knife you will find the link to 3 of the main forums that talk about it.
We are now taking orders on the next batch of 25. These are due in, in April sometime. Of course this batch will be pre-sold before it gets here, as with the last 2 knives we did.
So orders yours now.
