When will it end? Who is to say...Some say when we get a new President other when we get a new Congress. But, the point is everyone is hurting.

To me it all started when they opened Freddie May and Freddie Mac to allow mortgage loans to people who could not afford it, yes Interest rates went way down then it bit them in the bottom.

Then when gas prices started to rise (when there is no reason it should have except OPEC greed and Oil Company greed) that is when it started the snowball effect.

Now you have businesses closing and people loosing jobs, and I am afraid it will get worse because now you have the Auto Makers really hurting.

I would like to see what people have to say in this but I do not want to see any flaming or bashing politically. Because I will delete it. But what are people doing and businesses as well what are you doing to try to ride it out? Families what are you trying to do as well?

I will start...As a business we are trying to see what else we can get into that will generate more income. My lovely wife and I started a new business C and D Enterprise. We will add several sites in the next several months. One we already have CandDluggage.com (This idea all actually started 3 years ago). Back when the economy was better and when were traveling on a Cruise Ship (Carnival Holiday) we had gobs (is that a word?) of stuff we bought and I tried to pack it in my luggage and the wheels broke. It was a cheap suit case with small rollers. So the idea came into conception then and as we traveled it grew. But when the hurt came we thought let's do it now.

On the site we carry high quality luggage at an affordable price. Great luggage and rolling tote makers like TravelPro and Atlantic and we added travel accessories from Austin House.

Hope the economy gets better. I trust it will and we can share it with our children and hopefully grandchildren. Awe grandchildren, we hope to have some, someday, but that is another story.

From: I Love to TravelGeneration 2http://www.blogger.com/profile/09247767133001702169noreply@blogger.com61tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30113303.post-51719866896126315982008-03-19T12:46:00.005-05:002008-03-19T13:04:54.717-05:00
A Handmade Historical Re-creation of the "Musso" Bowie Knife. Out of all the Bowies, (Historical Bowie Knives) this is the most popular.

But to ensure we did not hurt the 200 that were made and all sold out in 2004 and 2005, we have made some changes.
When we first did this knife (according to Rick Baer's suggestion) we made it so it would be a comfortable and field usable knife with an 11 1/2" blade.

Now that we are bringing back this knife in 2008, we opted to make it the exact size of the original. A enormous 14" blade.

To read more about what we have done and why go directly to our website. CLICK HERE!Generation 2http://www.blogger.com/profile/09247767133001702169noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30113303.post-54809189338531981582007-10-30T14:03:00.000-05:002007-10-30T14:13:41.706-05:00Today in History
737 Years ago today! What we changed was this. We contoured the handle as with most original historical swords that are a hand and a half and two handed swords.

What this does is allow your hand to stay put and not slip back. The steel band is slightly raised from the handle as with originals. We opted to narrow the guard as you see from this side shot. Our previous model was wider and the handle was not contoured.

This sword is not a replica of an original sword, but as most people know Generation 2's fantasy or movie swords are done in such a way in the look that they might have been or could have been.

I look forward to seeing post here about this sword and the others you see here on this blog.

Want to see more pictures? Click HereGeneration 2http://www.blogger.com/profile/09247767133001702169noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30113303.post-62679771985518794422007-03-14T14:27:00.000-05:002008-11-19T01:34:22.741-06:00
Daniel Searles Bowie Knife:
Well the new knife everyone has been waiting on came in. The Daniel Searles Bowie knife from Generation 2! The first batch of 25 came in and went straight out the door.

We have had allot of great responses (and we are not saying that just because it is our knife), folks we have said it and the response we have received says it all. This is the BEST looking Bowie Knife we have made yet!

It has been talked about quite a bit on the different forums. Just GOOGLE Daniel Searles Bowie Knife you will find the link to 3 of the main forums that talk about it.

We are now taking orders on the next batch of 25. These are due in, in April sometime. Of course this batch will be pre-sold before it gets here, as with the last 2 knives we did.
So orders yours now.

Here is the Link: Searles BowieGeneration 2http://www.blogger.com/profile/09247767133001702169noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30113303.post-53540936483660404122007-03-07T10:44:00.000-06:002008-11-19T01:34:22.883-06:00

Dordogne Sword:
I also thought it best to post the 1st sword here as well.
The first sword being the Dordogne sword. The original sword was found in the River Dordogne near Castillon. It was examined by Ewart Oakeshott.
Ewart made a drawing of this sword, then later gave the drawing to Hank Reinhardt.
It is from this drawing that we created this sword.

This sword feels alive in your hand once you hold it.
It features a stiff blade for thrusting, but it is not overly stiff so as not to be flexible.
We opted for a suede handle since with leather it would be slippery once you hand started to sweat.
You can view more of this sword here: Dordogne
A signed 11'x17" copy of the original drawing comes with each one of these swords! Not only do we have new a Generation 2 Bowie Knife in the works but also 2 new Stage Combat Line swords coming as well.

We are teaming up with Last Legend to make Pro Sword. How does that work you ask? Well mostly Last Legend will make the oriental portion of Pro Sword and Generation 2 will make the medieval aspect.

But, there is also in the works and I am sure many are busting to find out if it is true, but Last Legend, Generation 2 and Pro sword has the Hank Reinhart, yes the Hank Reinhart sending us desings to make a "Hank Reinhart" collection. Both Last Legend and Generation2 have 3 drawings to start with.

Does this mean this deal is in the bag? No, we have to first make the proto-types and Hank has to approve. I will tell you he was impressed by our Crusader sword we sent to to inspect.

Also if you want to know more about how well Generation 2 swods are made and to read an interview I had with Paul Southren from Sword Buyers Guide www.sword-buyers-guide.com/ezine.html Click on the link. You will have to subscribe to his newsletter. But it is free.

Well that is all I have for now. But as new items or news come in you will find it posted on our website and posted here.
Clyde Hollis (Generation 2)
Imperial Weapons

(Added 07/20/06)

There will be 3 swords that Generation 2 will make from designs by Hank Reinhardt to start with. Sorry I can not tell what 3, but keep checking here.

Clyde HollisGeneration 2http://www.blogger.com/profile/09247767133001702169noreply@blogger.com8
